The WDCTA offers dressage, combined training, and year-end awards to its eligible members. Participation from Junior and Young riders is also encouraged. Combined training and dressage awards are available for each level of competition. Dressage breeding awards are also available for weanlings, yearlings, two year olds and three year olds. Read more about the WDCTA programs below! The WDCTA offers several different Dressage Awards and Dressage Breeding awards to its eligible members. Dressage show organizers can also apply to have their shows recognized by the WDCTA. ::Dressage
Show Recognition. Dressage show organizers
can apply to have shows recognized by the WDCTA in order for individual
horse/rider show scores to count toward WDCTA Dressage Championship awards.
A WDCTA Show Recognition Request Form must be submitted 45 days prior
to the competition. The Show Recognition Request Form and Rules are available
on our new Forms page.::Dressage Awards. Awards are given to the Champion and Reserve Champion at each level of competition: Introductory through FEI - for Juniors, Seniors, and Adult Amateurs. In addition, Junior and Senior riders whose horses are in their first year of showing at each of the levels Training through FEI are eligible for Maiden Awards. Freestyle awards are given at First through Fourth Levels and at FEI. All qualifying horse/rider combinations will receive Certificates Of Merit. ::Year-End Awards. The WDCTA presents year-end awards in dressage, combined training, and breeding. To be eligible, both rider and owner must be members in good standing with WDCTA, and must submit an Application Form with appropriate fees which must be postmarked at least 7 days prior to their first show in order for scores to count. All registration fees are for the calendar year beginning Jan 1st and ending Dec 31st. Visit our Forms page to see rules and obtain an Amateur Affidavit , if applicable. ::Dressage Breeding Awards. Awards are given for the Champion and Reserve Champion Young Horse-Filly, Young Horse-Colt/Gelding, Mature Horse-Mare, and Mature Horse-Stallion. Combined Training awards are given to the Champion and Reserve Champion at: Junior Novice, Senior Novice, Junior Training, Senior Training, Open Preliminary, Open Intermediate, and Open Advanced levels. All qualifying horse/rider combinations will receive Certificates Of Merit. Completion Certificates will be presented to registered members who have completed at least three events in any division.
